Ok, lets just say you find yourself in a survival situation where you need water. Then you find water and are faced with yet another problem. How do you carry the water? Well if you do not have some sort of container, you can always make this diy survival bamboo water container.

Super easy to make, you just take advantage of the properties of a bamboo plant. They are hollow inside each segment and water tight too. The best type of bamboo for this project would be the yellow bamboo, it is younger and less thick. Which makes it way easier and faster to cut through.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Step By Step Instructions:

Step 1.

DIY Survival Bamboo Water Container

Find a section of yellow thick bamboo.
Make sure you cut it above the joint, by chipping
away along the side with your survival knife.

Step 2.

Divide the long sections into the individual
sections. Again use your knife to do this.

Step 3.

Hollow out one end of the section, this will
be the top of your new container. That’s it!

If you have a couple of sections you can use your paracord or rope to tie them together to make it easier for you to carry your water from the stream to your camp. I definitely would make at least one or two containers for each person in your group.
